Suzanne Clark enjoyed many years of nursing in cardiac, dialysis and surgical units before entering the mental health field.
After completing her master's degree, Suzanne began providing counseling services at Crossroads Professional Services. Hearing clients voice their frustration over wait times to see psychiatric prescribers, she decided to pursue the credentials necessary to better address those needs. While medication is sometimes necessary, Suzanne believes the real work of change happens in therapy. Her holistic approach considers the emotional, physical, social, spiritual and even academic and career concerns of her patients.
Suzanne has counseled rape survivors and been a presenter for the Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response Center. She has also worked in the mental health center at Southeastern and is a part-time career counselor at LSU. Helping college students launch into the adult world remains an area of particular interest.
